Le magazine mensuel "CORE" ("noyau") est un magazine musical consacré à toutes les musiques possédant un suffixe du même nom. L'emploi de ce suffixe comme nom m'a donc paru être la meilleure option pour définir clairement le propos auprès des lecteurs avertis.
Je parle de lecteurs avertis car tant le nom que les visuels choisis évoquent à mon sens assez nettement le sujet traité par le magazine. Tous les visuels ne sont pas aussi évocateurs, mais j' ai pensé ce magazine comme un objet singulier, différent des autres revues du genre ou l'on des musiciens en actions ou prendre la pause. J' ai choisi ce type de visuel uniquement pour le premier numéro, en espérant que le choix graphique et l' impact du logo soient suffisant pour porter la série.(dans cette idée,le logo du dernier numéro n' est même plus visible dans son intégralité.)
C'est également dans cette volonté de se distinguer des autres parutions que j' ai choisi d' en faire un mensuel. Ainsi l' objet acquiert une certaine préciosité qui peut aller de paire avec un design singulier.
Les visuels évoquent soient des groupes eux mêmes, des idées voire un état d' esprit lié à ces courants musicaux particuliers.
The monthly magazine named "CORE" is dedicated to all music styles that include the suffix "core' in their names.
I picked up this title for my magazine because it's the common point between all these styles. Informed readers know what they' ll find inside.
Some of the covers are more evokative of the music than others, but I wanted to create a peculiar object, in opposition with other musical magazine covers where the bands are playing or taking a pose just for the picture.Even if I made the first issue on this principle...
I hope the graphic design and the impact of the logo is strong enough to impulse the whole collection ( that's the reason why the logo is always at the same place in the page,even if I may redraw it, transform it or erase it).
To make this magazine different, I decided to organize a monthly publication: together with the peculiar graphic line, the magazine would consequently become more valuable.
In this collection of ten covers, I wanted to evoke the music bands, feeling interpretations and visions or details relative to these music styles.
